Influence of arsenic on primary productivity on the Eastern seaboard Thailand

Water and sediment samples collected from assigned stations from Bangpakong to Sriracha did not show the amount of arsenic exceeding established standards. Sediment samples from the estuarine area revcaled higher values compared to sediments from other stations. The arsenic contents in water samples collected from the estuarine stations were 2-3 times higher than those collected from other stations throughout the study period. Results from this study indicated that transport and distribution of arsenic in the study area were affected by the amount drained and carried off by of the river into the estuary.
