Small wild hog farm had been encountered with piglets' diarrhea and death since last quarter of 2002 to the beginning of March 2003. Four litters of 15-20-day-old piglets were affected. We were called to solve the problem when the litters number 3 and 4 showed sign of the disease. Both litters were diagnosed as enteric colibacillosis caused by Escherichia coli. The litter number 3 were treated with trimetroprim-sulfamethoxazole immediately. However piglets still have diarrhea and 1 out of 7 piglets died. After antimicrobial susceptibility test was reported, enrofloxacin was used and 3 out of 6 piglets survived. In the litter number 4, piglets were treated with enrofloxacin and 2 out of 7 piglets died. Then we changed antibiotic to be colistin sulfate according to antimicrobial susceptibility test result. All of the remaining piglets were response to the treatment.
