In 1996-1997, varietal description of 263 corn accessions of the National Corn and Sorghum Research Center were made. In this year (1998), 122 accessions were evaluated and data was collected in 4 yield trials. Ninety-nine old corn accession, stored in 1986, were regenerated. Eighty-four accessions were planted in the 1998 dry season planting and fifteen accessions were planted in the 1998 early rainy season. The balanced composites of seed of each were stored at 14 deg C and 0 deg C about 2 kilograms and 1 kilogram, respectively.
