The study sought to produce a preliminary environmental impact assessment of Ziminya dam in Nkayi district, Matebeleland north province in Zimbabwe. The study sought to identify possible impacts of the project on the environment that is socio-cultural and bio-physical impacts which include inundation of flora and fauna, relocation of 34 households and loss of 1 387.5 hactares used as grazing and arable lands.
