This document gives an overview of the present harvesting systems practised by the Usutu Pulp Company in Swaziland and the practical effects of the present harvesting systems on the silviculture of pine crops grown under a 15 year rotation. It also explores the effects of mechanical and draught animal skidding on the site and subsequent stoking.
