[Winter resistance and chemical composition of honeysuckle fruit]

The results of winter resistance and chemical composition estimation (2003-2004) of 12 honeysuckle cultivars are presented. The level of frost damages of studied specimens did not exceed 1 point, 6 cultivars without frost damages signs were selected. It was determined the content of soluble solids, acids, sugars, pectin matters and ascorbic acid in fruit. The following cultivars were selected as the features donors: "Leningdradskij Velikan" - combination of winter resistance, low acidity, high sugar content, "Pavlovskaya" - pectin matters content, "Sinyaya Ptitsa" - ascorbic acid content
