[Fattening and meat qualities of pigs of the breeding type "Zadneprovskij" of large white breed depending on their line]

Thoroughbred breeding is a basis of pig breeding system in Belarus at production of hybrid commodity young pig. For providing competitiveness of domestic pork there was a necessity of substantial increase of meat qualities by creation the specialized meat-fattening type. The feeding young pigs of large white breed of factory type "Zаdnеprоvskij" is characterized by high slaughter output (67,8-70,1 %) and meat qualities (weight of a back third of half carcass - 10,7-11,0 kg), small thickness of fat on 6-7 chest vertebras (25,8-27,3 mm). Young pigs of the lines Drachun 90685 and Sekret 8549 in fattening qualities and in meat qualities - Syabra 202065 have got considerable advantage. Selection indices 133.6, 109.9 and 103.9 correspondingly
