Results of approbation of new method applied for the determination of amphibian absolute age by the example of grey toad (Bufo bufo L.) were presented. The main task of the research work was the maximum adaptation of the process of amphibian bone tissue treatment for the determination of agglutination lines to the conditions of hystological laboratory by the skeletochronology method. The applied method proved to be effective and spare for the populations of studied animals. The age structure of Bufo bufo populations in Grodno region of Belarus depended on the degree of territories urbanization: the average age of males and females in heavily urbanized zone was 2.6 and 3.45 years accordingly, in average urbanized ones – 2.75 and 3.67 accordingly, and in less urbanized ones – 3.05 and 4.04 accordingly. Bufo bufo males of were in greater extend subjected to the influence of urbanization factors than females. This became apparent in the decrease of middle-aged males quantity of reproductive groupings in the conditions of strong anthropogenic stress. Sexual dimorphism of Bufo bufo and its high individual variability by resorbtion rates of originally postponed bones of fabric in phalanges of fingers was shown
