According to the provisions of European Pro-Geo Association, geo-heritage includes all beauty-spots, being natural rarities of exceptional scientific and aesthetic value. National Council for Geo-Heritage of Serbia proposed a list of 277 such spots which were afterwards graded according to their importance, as the world, European, Balkan, national, regional and local spots. Among the spots from that list, 149 or 54% of those spots are located in Eastern Serbia, that is Carpathian-Balkan mountain range. It has been evaluated that both world and European level of value have per two and Balkan - 10 spots. Interesting thing is that only Djerdap Gorge is of great tourist value among the spots of world and European levels of value, owing to its cultural-historical monuments contained in it, while the spots of Balkan value in tourist offer mainly appear as the accompanying ones with the exception of two caves arranged for tourist visits. However, tourist grading is a complex procedure of evaluation of individual and overall potentials of specific space in relation to various attractions in adjacent surrounding. Regarding that, Eastern Serbia with all its natural, cultural-historical and social values deserves special attention.
