In the last several years, especially, the systems for drainage and irrigation are irreplaceable for the development of agriculture in our country. They give opportunity normal condition for agricultural production (systems for drainage) and on other side, increase the intensity of agricultural production (systems for irrigation). Taking into account the level of building these systems in Serbia, it measured their influence on agricultural development. For a strong influence of drainage systems on agricultural production, around 260,000 ha should be rehabilitation. This works will contribute to reduce the risk of damage to land and crops. It is also assumed that cropping patterns will change. Construction of irrigation systems, at least 20,000 ha yearly, will increase on employment, minimum 27,000 of worker/yearly. Contruction of regional hydrosystem especially has contribution on agricultural development. Financial resources are basic condition for further development. It needs to include new kind of financing (joint venture, leasing, concession).
