Because of the more expressive negative human effect on the natural environment and through this branch of economy activity, today even more there are demands about preserving, protection and organizing natural environments through bringing the rules of behaviour for all contenstants in the tourism development, i.e. through consolidation of the strategy for sustainable development of tourism. Having in mind global effect of tourism and his effect on natural environment, in the countries members of EU were taken protection measures and brought certain documents which urge to discussion about European action program about sustainable development. Only by this way it can be secured long-term development of tourism with the preserving of valuable natural resources. In the Republic of Serbia also is present attempt to establish directives and actions which are in connection with sustainable development of tourism, at the first trough legal acts brought in the economy region and protection of natural environment.
