Alpinum represents especial kind of landscape composition when the plant group are combined with nicely shaped rocks among which the plants find the room for growing. It imitates a natural mountain locality, and as the name itself indicates it is predominantly related to the landscape of the largest and the highest mountain system in Europe - Alps. In a wider sense Alpinum do not have to keep up strictly to the flora of Alps, but their concept is in accordance with conditions of sourrandings, location on which they are growing, the user wishes and skillfulness of the designer. Hillside with a rocky outcrop, steep banks or areas of irregular terrain is ideal spot for a rock garden or Alpinum. An Alpinum is ideal way to stop soil erosion while creating an expressive landscape feature.
