Effects of organic fertigation using corn steep liquor (CSL) and methane fermented cattle waste (MFC) on the delta 15N value of musk melon (Cucumis melo L.) were examined with comparison of conventional basal dressing of chemical fertilizer and fertigaion using chemical fertilizer. The delta 15N values of fertilizers which were used for the experiment were +0.85%o (S604), -1.6%o (CDU), 0.0%o (OK-F-1), +8.5%o (CSL), +7.6%o (MFC). The delta 15N values of fruits from conventional basal dressing, inorganic fertigaion and organic fertigation were +1.4%o (S604), -1.6%o (OK-F-1) and + 6.3%o (CSL) in the 2000 experiment, +3.0%o(CDU), -1.7%o(OK-F-1) and +6.1%o (MFC) in the 2001 experiment, respectively. Products from the three treatments were distinguishable using delta 15N values. Hence, delta 15N values could be useful as an indicator of organic or fertigation products.
