The analyze was carried on data of all ten counties, about the area of the land of private farms, number of users and their dynamics over a period of 10 year, starting from 1994 till 2004. Collected data has shown that the area of private farmers land and the number of its users is decreasing. It is caused by the fact, that part of land users of private farmers restore the ownerships or purchase the land from the state, therefore above mentioned land becomes registered or private land used for agriculture. Over the period of 10 years, the area of land of private farms in Lithuania has decreased by 51.8%. The biggest change has occurred in Vilnius County - 63.9%, the smallest in Telsiai County - 37.6%. The fastest process of privatization is observed near the biggest Lithuanian cities, where the price of the land is higher. The biggest size of area of land of private farms is in Taurage County - 2.47 ha, the smallest is in Vilnius County - 1.92 ha, the average size in all Lithuania - 2.17 ha.
