The aim of the study is to analyse the influence of social and environmental factors on business decisions in an international enterprise. The research was done in a world-known corporation's Latvia's branch. The article views Unilever's social policy and possibilities to adapt it to Latvia's new business requirements that came into force after May 1st 2004. To support her ideas the author presents the results of a survey that was carried out to discover how social policy influences brands recognition and consumers' loyalty.
