Feed restriction of rearing pullets: its effect on laying performance
2003
Rodriguez, C.M.
This study was conducted to determine the performance of 400 layers (Hy-line strain) subjected to restricted and unrestricted feeding at rearing period replicated four times. This was conducted at the Poultry Project of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, North La Union Campus, Bacnotan, La Union. Pullets reared in restricted feeding resulted to lower body weight at point of lay and higher profit after 20 months laying. The two feeding schemes for rearing pulltes resulted to comparable laying performance in terms of egg production, egg weight, feed conversion efficiency and livability.
