Effects of pentachlorophenol - sodium (PCP-NA) on some haematologicalparameters in rabbits against human antigen

In present work, the effects of (PCP - Na) in rabbits, on body weights,hepatosomatic index, relative spleen weight (RSW), relative kidney weight(RKW) and haematological parameters i.e. TEC, TLC and haemoglobin (Hb) levelwere investigated. There was non-significant change in total body weight oftreated group, hepatosomatic index showed a significant increase of 24.5% intreated group. Whereas RSW and RKW showed 28.5% and 11.5% increase (P lessthan 0.05) respectively with respect to their control values. TLC showed a48.37% significant decrease (P less than 0.05) in PCP - Na treated group, TECand haemoglobin level showed non-significant decrease in treated animals,when compared with that of control group.
