The objective of the present study was to determine the possibility of improving the reproductive parameters of the Hedlund white mink not only by crossing them with the standard type, but also with the pastel one. The experiment was performed on a mink farm in the Warmia and Mazury Province, NE Poland. Female white mink were allocated to two groups: group I (control), descended from the standard type, usually used in Poland for white mink improvement, and group II (experimental), descended from the pastel type. The following parameters were detemined in the study: date of first mating, gestation period, number of females that have not been mated, number of females rearing kits, average number of kits born and weaned per female, and weaning ratio. The reproductive results obtained show that the Hedlund white mink can be successfully improved with the pastel mink. The number of kits born and weaned was statistically higher in the experimental group
