The paper presents results researches concern selected determinants of rural areas entrepreneurship development in West Pomeranian region (Poland). Work hypothesis says that young, well - educated and motivated people plays key role in entrepreneurial attitude shaping. There is a description of main socio-professionals features of surveyed people together with their yearly total income. Then the analysis of relations between these features and attitudes to the economic activity and professional risk making is presented. The results proved the rural society relative passivity and negative estimation of possibilities of household income increase. Moreover one can find identification of most frequently indicated barriers of Polish rural areas individual activity progress
