The present thesis deals with studying the complex processing of hop and rear essential oil crops of Polissya (Ukraine’s Forest zone) with the aim of obtaining the essential oils of hop and other rear essential oil crops by means of complex processing thereof. The study involves up-to-date physico-chemical methods to investigate the composition, properties of the substances, methods of analytical chemistry and fat chemistry, those of statistical treatment of the experimental results obtained. Obtained are the theoretical and practical results as follows: a technology of complex processing of hop cones, while obtaining essential oil thereof, a dry water-soluble phytoextract and xantohumol. A pharmacopean article on the hop essential oil as well as technical specifications for the essential oils of rear crops are prepared. The results obtained, purposed for food and phrmaceutical industry, are introduced at „Farmak“ OJSC and Zhytomyr distillery
