Heavy infestation of the litchi fruit borer, Conopomorpha sinensis Bradley was found in the Chiang Rai province especially in the orchard without good management. The LD99.99 of C. sinensis at 3, 5 and 8 days post irradiation were 1840, 1229.81 and 792 gray. But at the dose of 200 gray, irradiation could inhibit the adult emergence of all pests of litchi fruit (C. sinensis, C. ombodelta and Bactrocera dorsalis complex species). At the dose of 100-600 gray had no effects on the shelf life extention and quality of litchi fruits, but at temperature 10 deg C the litchi fruits could storage longer than 9 days. The recommend close for plant quarantine of litchi fruits was 200 gray.
