Effect of protein levels and ratio of lysine and metabolizable energy in diet on performance of growing pigs

Completely Randomized Design was exploited to determine the appropriate level of crude protein and ratio of lysine and metabolizable energy in growing ration. There were six treatments with three replications. Each replication consisted of two female and two male pigs weighing twenty kilograms. Pigs were fed with six rations containing different levels of crude protein (percent) and ratios of lysine and metabolizable energy (g/magical) as follow: 14.94-2.4(T1), 15.94-2.6(T2), 16.76-2.8(T3), 17.73-3.0(T4), 18.56-3.2(T5) and 19.52-3.4(T6). Performance and blood urea nitrogen of pigs during 20-30, 30-50 and 20-50 kilogram of the body weight were recorded and statistical tested after a seven week study. According to this study pig rations of T4 and T5 were recommended.
