The aim of this study was to investigate the possibility of sericin content determination in raw silk filament by means of ultraviolet absrbance spectroscopy method. It was established that ultraviolet spectroscopy method is reliable for determination of serin content in raw silk. It can be done with universal calibration equation for all investigated hybrids, without need of specific equation for each hybrid.
