Comportamiento poblacional de Diaphania hyalinata (L.) (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) en calabaza.

Se evaluaron cuatro campos de calabaza (Cucurbita moschata Duch.) en siembra escalonada, con el objetivo de conocer la dinámica estacional de Diaphania hyalinata y las relaciones que establece con los elementos del clima y sus enemigos naturales. Se establecieron relaciones lineales y múltiples con los elementos del clima a los tres, cinco y siete días antes del muestreo, para determinar su influencia en la abundancia de la población. El mayor número de individuos se observó de finales de julio a finales de octubre de 1992 con dos generaciones; la segunda, de mayor importancia, ocurrió en los períodos de floración, segunda, tercera y cuarta cosecha. Se encontraron dos especies de Apanteles parasitando las larvas pequeñas, medianas y grandes y seis hiperparásitos que disminuyeron su acción. La temperatura y la humedad relativa influyeron signifcativamente (p0.0001) en la estacionalidad de la plaga.

英语. Four felds of pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata Duch) in spaced out sowing were evaluated to know Diaphania hyalinata seasonal dynamics and its relations with climatic elements and natural enemies. Linear and multiple regressions were stablished with climatic elements at three, five and seven days before sampling, to determine their influence in the population. The major number of individuals was observed from the end of July to the end of October with two generations, the second was the most important that took place in the periods of flowering, second, third and fourth crops of the evaluated fields. Two species of Apanteles were found parasiting small, middling and big larvae, and six hyperparasites that diminished their action. Temperature and relative humidity had influenced in the pest's abundance.
