Hibiscus mealybug, Maconellicoccus hirsutus was first reported in Guyana on April 1997. On May, Cryptolaemus montrouzieri was introduced followed by Anagyrus kamali on July. Both natural enemies became established and they are providing adequate control of HMB. The result of the biological control programme are presented.
