In the second part the author overviews already existing technologies for the extraction of carbon dioxide from flue gases originating form large combustion plants such as power plants, burning fossil fuels with different techniques. The article also explains why the much propagated hydrogen economy based on coal and hydrocarbons would results in the reduction of the global carbon dioxide emissions.
