The main objectives of the study were to explore and reveal different challenges in animal husbandry of organic farming, by the survey of present status and articulation of further needs, and by working out suggestions of common development of organic animal husbandry in the central region of Europe. The study was fulfilled by sending out special questionnaires on organic animal husbandry to public authorities, experts and scientists as target groups of the 15 countries taking part in CHANNEL project.
