گEvaluation of possibility of cultural, chemical and integrated control of Protapion trifolii (L.) (Col.Apionidae) and their effect on yield component of berseem clover in Khuzestan

This experiment was conducted at Safiabad research center in 15 Mehr in 1380(from 2001 to 2002). In order to evaluate the effectiveness of control methods of this pest on damage level, yield components, percent inflorescence infestation, seed yield, number of seeds per in-florescence, number of in-florescence per unit area, 1000 seed weight, forage fresh and dry weight, and protein content was measured. Experimental treatment contained cultural, chemical and integrated control procedures. The experimental design was randomized complete Block with stripe plot arrangement of treatments with 3 replications for two years. Vertical factors were contained two type insecticide Ecamet and dooresban and without insecticide. Horizontal factors were contained date of cutting (for seed) including 10 esfend , 25 esfand and 10 ferverdin. For estimation of damage amount and evaluation of the effectiveness of different control procedure in yield component percent infection for larva before and after spraying, seed yield, number of seed in pods, number of flower in 1 m2 1000 see weight, forage yield, dry forage yield and protein contain. Fresh and dry weight of forage was measured. Result of the experiment indicated that harvesting date was not significantly different among treatment but insecticide treatment was significantly different. Cutting date of Esfand 25 is recommended but chemical control of berseem clover weevil because of adverse environmental effects is not recommended.
