This research was carried out to identify the suitable method and severity of pruning. This test was applied on the 66 fig tree of Sabz cultivar with the same wreath The experiment was laid out as a complete randomized block design (CRBD) with three replications. The treatments were consisted of 1 – The light winter pruning one-year-old twigs (The claws). 2 – The medium winter pruning commonly done by fig gardeners in Estahban as control. 3- The heavy winter pruning of twigs 4 - The moderate winter pruning of twigs with the winter heading back. 5- The heavy winter pruning of twigs with the winter heading back of twigs .6 - The light winter pruning of twigs with the winter heading back. 7 - The moderate winter pruning of twigs with the summer green pruning. 8- The heavy winter pruning of twigs with the summer green pruning 9- The moderate winter pruning of twigs with the heading back and summer green pruning. 10- The heavy winter pruning of twigs with the heading back and summer green pruning. 11 - The light winter pruning of twigs with the heading back and summer green pruning. The results showed that the heavy winter pruning of claws with the heading back pruning and summer green pruning were the most suitable treatments in maintaining the trees, freshness, health and the stability of the leaves. Heavy winter pruning of claws together with the summer green pruning increased the fruit diameters. In addition, heavy winter pruning of the claws increased the fruit ostiole opening. Meanwhile the most of bright yellow fruits relates to the moderate winter pruning of the claws (one- year- old side twigs) .The different methods of pruning had not any significant effects on the early maturity of fruits and yields.
