An investigation was carried out in Karaj and Dezful for determining of association between seedyield and oilcontent of several native and exotic genotypes of sesame for reduicing lose in yield during harvesting period. The genotypes included in the research, e.g. Dezful landrace, Moghan landrace, Yekta, Varamin 2822, palestinian , Chinesis, Indian were grown in a complete randomized block design with four replication in each location. For each genotype , from time of occurance of the first yellowed – leaf in lower part of plant to complete maturity , several samples were taken and the seedyield and oilcontent of each samples were recorded. Trends of changes in seedyield and oilcontent of each genotype in each location during sampling periods were illustrated by plotting and the data were statistically analyzed by Anova . In Dezful, harvesting of Dezful landrace in the first time (29.9.1382) resulted in the highest seed yield and oil content. Harvesting of Indian genotype in Karaj at fourth time (10.7.1382) could resulted in the highest seed yield and oil content . Keywords : Sesame, time of harvesting , yield , oil content , trend of seed yield and oil content .
