Safflower can be planted as a spring and winter crop under rainfed condition of cold, semi-cold and warm areas of Iran. Winter planting always has more seed yield as compare to spring planting. In this areas winter planting is recommended. This study carried out with 7 promising varieties of safflower along with check variety (Zarghan 279) in three locations of Kermanshah province vizBisetoon, Bilevar and Slamabad in farmer fields under rainfed condition. This experiment was in RCBD with 3 replications each variety was planted in 8 rows with 6 m length and 30 cm row spacing. The results showed that check variety (Zarghan 279) had the low seed yield and the lowest seed oil content in all locations. PI- 537598 had the highest seed and oil yield in Bilevar. This variety with S- 541 also had the highest seed and oil yield in Bisetoon. Seed and oil yield in Slamabad were more than other areas but there were not significant differences between varieties for all traits.
