In order to select salt tolerant durum wheat cultivars, 198 durum wheat lines or cultivars were received from International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) in 1992. In the first step the seeds were propogated. In the following years a series of preliminary and advance trials were conducted by using saline irrigation water in Rudasht Saline Experiment Station of Isfahan. Finally, ten cultivars with the highest grain yield under salinity of 10 dS/m were selected for uniform trials. In this study ten cultivars plus two control cultivars (ofn/Kill and AIX…….) in a Randomzed Complete Block Design with four replicates in Isfahan, Ghoum and Yazd area under saline condition were evaluated for two years. Electrical conductivity of irrigation waters used in Isfahan, Ghoum and Yazd were between 9-10.5 dS/m. In Zabol area the experiment was conducted only for one year with water salinity of 7.6 dS/m. The analysis of varince of cultivars grain yield on location and years shows significant difference (P 0.01) among cultivars for three location (Isfahan, Ghoum and Yazd). Cultivars grain yield mean separation were done by Duncan- Multiple Range Test and shows that cultivars number 11 and 6 placed in one level with the highest grain yield. Although the cultivar number 11 have had higher grain yield. The cultivars grain yield analysis of varince in Zabol area shows significant difference (P0.10) among cultivars. The highest grain yield was obtained in cultivar number 5. Since in Zabol the experiment was conducted only for one year, the results could not be recommended and it should be extended for one more year. In conclusion, the cultivars number 11 and 6 (AjaIa//HORA/JRO/3/Gan and CHAIKAI, respectively) can be recommended as salt tolerant durum wheat cultivars.
