Since 1991 studies regarding callus culture initiation from pericarp of V. vinifera cultivars have been begun, in order to select cellular lines with a higher capacity of anthocyanin biosynthesis. The primary callus culture was initiated on different stages of development (from 7-to 35 days after anthesis. Carpoexplants were excised in different stages after anthesis until maturity, in order to select the better moment of proliferative capacity of the inocula. In the present monograph the authors short briefly demonstrate the preproliferative possibilities of carpoexplants of grape berry, describe the stable cell lines, cell populations and clusters or callus (pigmented red, white ahd green colours)derived from its grape berry explants, while shedding light on the ultrastructure picture and bearing structures of intracellular byosinthesis and traffic of translocation of secondary metabolites ( phenolic compounds, carotenoids), storage proteins and chlorophylls accumulation.
