The Sweetpotato Diagnotes CD is a powerful yet simple interactive diagnostic key in identification of sweetpotato problems. It provides a framework to integrate facts, information and images of different insect and mite pests, diseases and nutritional disorders of sweetpotato. It uses the latest techniques in information technology to provide users with convenient interactive hypermedia capabilities to seek and link various information component which operates under the Lucid TM system. An important feature of this interactive diagnostic key is that users can navigate through the content in any way they want. The key is provided with information about causes so that, once a specimen is identified, it can be read in the fact sheets and illustrated in view images. It has a fact sheet that contains the description, signs, damage and other information about a particular problem. Possible observations are defined and/or illustrated by notes and images which pop up by clicking on particular observation state. The fact sheet can be accessed through the key and hyperlink from other sections of the key. The diagnostic key to sweetpotato problems delivered via a CD ROM or in the internet is designed as a resource-package to be used as training and diagnostic support tool for agricultural technicians, extension workers, researchers, teachers and students.`
