House hold remedies of herbal cosmetics in district Attock, Pakistan

The present research work was confined to herbal cosmetics with special reference of communities of District Attock. Study was conducted in twenty villages of District Attock order to collect information from local people for preparation and use of herbal cosmetics and conservation. Questionnaires were developed to interview the local communities in total of informants including 60 women, 30 men 10 herbalists were interviewed. Indigenous data on herbal recipes were collected from respondent informants. In total of 40 species belong to genera of 34 families were used for these herbal cosmetics. Results were systematically arranged in alphabetic order of botanical name followed by local names, family, distribution, part Used, and preparation. It was conclude from this research work that local community specially woman heavily used these herbal cosmetics for their beauty. These ladies believe that these herbal cosmetics are easily available, less expensive, and have no side effects.
