The aim of presented work was recognition of possibilities production of maize for green forage in Lower Silesia (Poland) conditions, cultivated in bicropping mode with two bean species: common bean and phaseolus multiflorus. Two rates of bean sowing were applied: 90:10 and 67:33 percent (maize to beans, respectively). The bicropping system in proportion 90:10 percent gave a significantly higher dry matter yield ranging from 143 to 136 dt/ha. The increased sowing rate of both bean species up to 33 percent lowered dry matter yield. The total protein content in forage from bicropping system was higher by 1.0-3.7 percent than from a single cropping
