The aim of this study was comparison of yields (barley, oats) in dependence of sowing method (mixed cropping and pure sowing) and soil conditions (soil texture, kind of subsoil and soil complex - of agricultural suitability). The highest grain and protein yields were obtained on more compact soils. Higher differentiation of barley yields than oats yields on soil conditions was stated. Higher protein content of grain in cereal crops was obtained in the case of the poorest soils (slightly loamy sands, week rye soil complex)
