Studies on the concentration of Artemisia pollen in the air of Lublin were carried out in 1995-2001. Gravimetric and volumetric methods were applied. Lengths of pollination seasons in particular years were compared, dates of maximum concentration during vegetation and during a day were estimated. Length of pollination seasons was determined by means of 2.5 percent method. Under Lublin conditions, lengths of pollination seasons differ referring to the duration, pollen concentration and the total sum of pollen grains emitted during the year. Pollination season for Artemisia lasted 6 weeks in Lublin, on the average. Pollen concentration above 50 grains/cubic m/24 h was present during 2-3 weeks. The highest pollen grain concentration (162 grains/cubic m/24 h) was recorded in the first decade of August in 1995-2001. The highest level of pollen grains in a day was observed between 8.00 and 10.00 h
