The influence of potassium nutrition on the flowering and yielding of two cultivars of pea were studied. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse in 1998-99, at Mitscherlich pots containing 6.5 kg of soil with low potassium content. K deficiency in the soil limited the number of flowers and pods on the plant, the number of seeds in a pod and the seed yield. Independent of K rates, pea cv. Bursztyn produced a higher seed yield than cv. Agra
