Influence of zeolites added in diet for laying hens to the number of Haugh units (HU)

The influence of natural zeolite (clinoptilolite) added in diet for laying hens on the egg weight and egg class was examined. Zeolite was added in diet for hens in different levels. In experiment were 1000 laying hens divided into four groups (per 250 hens). Control group of laying hens did not get zeolite by diet. Examined groups gained: O-1st 0.2; O-2nd 0.3; and O-3rd 0.5% zeolite added in diet. The results of examinations show that there are significant differences in the number of Haugh units of eggs.
