Analysis of productive traits of two strains of commercial egg layers

The results of comparative analysis of the productive traits in two strains of commercial layers are presented in this paper. Isabrown and DeKalb strains were included in the trial. Isabrown layed more eggs during the production year (300.2) then DeKalb hens (286.42). Mortality of DeKalb hens was lower then of Isabrown (8.5% vs. 10.0%). Isabrown hens had higher average daily feed intake then DeKalb. According to results of this test it can be concluded that Isabrown hens obtained better productive results.
