Organizational and economic characteristics of milk production in [the] Vojvodina Province [Republic of Serbia]

In the Vojvodina Province, milk production is characterized by periods of milk decline and stagnation, as a result of stronger decrease of total cow number and slow increase of average milk yield. Regardless that earlier researches were aimed on analysis of economic effects in milk production in social owned farms, in this paper, there were analyzed basic economic indicators of milk production on sampled private farms. Results obtained are compared with economic indicators from one social owned farm.
