The broilers were fattened 42 hours applying intensive production technology as usual. The data about body weight and those on controlling food consumption and mortality of the trial broilers, led to the following conclusion: 1) After the fattening period had been completed, the highest body weight was evidenced in the broilers of the provenience Hybro (1893 g), somewhat lower in those of Arbor Acres (1862 g) and the lowest one on those of the genotype Avian (1655 g); 2) The lowest mortality (4.56%) was recorded in the trial group consisting of the broilers Arbor Acres, and the highest one (7.03%) in those of the provenience Avian; 3) Food conversion was found to range from 2.11 (Arbor Acres) to 2.24 (Avian); 4) The lowest value of production index was calculated for the broilers Arbor Acres (200.53), somewhat lower for those of the genotype Hybro (193.95) and the lowest one for those of the provenience Avian (164.04).
