The induction of embryogenesis in anther culture of head cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata)

The aim of thIS work was to introduce in vitro embryogenesis in anther culture of head cabbage and to develop them to plant-regenerates. In results of cultivation of anthers from four cabbage genotypes on two basal medium - Murashige and Skoog, 1962, and Gamborg et al., 1968 - containing different sucrose concentrations (60, 80, and 100 g/l) embryogenetic structures and plantlets were developed. It was proved that the process depends on the sugar content in the induction media and on the genotype.
