The present study has been conducted for purpose of expanding cabbage production on the acid soils with liming. The experiments were conducted over the early cycle of cabbage plastichouse cultivation without extra heating. The hybrid Gredadier F1 was used. The soil was of an extremely acid reaction (pH/KCl 3.64) and CaO, Njival Ca and Njival Ca+Mg were added either individually or combined with manure in order to reduce its acidity. The obtained results fully justified the use of liming as the soil acidity and the mobile Al content were notably reduced which resulted in a considerably higher cabbage yield. The use of manure combined with lime fertilizers even more contributed to a decrease in both, soil acidity and in Al content.
