The grain yield and protein contents in seven genetically divergent cultivars of winter wheat (Takovcanka, Studenica, KG-100, Matica, Lazarica, Toplica and KG-56) were analyzed. Investigations were showed a considerable variation of grain yield and grain protein content in cultivars which were in depedence from mineral nutrition. The highest grain yield had Lazarica cultivar and the Toplica cultivar under regime of mineral nutrition by combination of three mineral elements N, P and K (120 kg N, 100 kg P2O5 and 60 kg K2O), as well by application NP in rate 120 kg N and 100 kg P2O5. The highest protein content had cultivar KG-56, while the lowest one had Takovcanka cultivar. By application of NKP nutrient in rates of 80 kg N - 60 kg P2O5 and K2O, as well as NP (80 kg N and 100 kg P2O5), was achieved the highest effect in increasing of grain protein content in wheat plant.
