Condition of mechanized equipment on the medium size family farms

In this paper, the average indices of mechanized equipment on all family farms in the Province of Vojvodina, Serbia, are given as well as of polled medium size family farms dealing with plant and cattle production. Having in ming all the family farms, it was found that the average tractor power is 29.82 kW and that on the polled farms 62.50 kW. The average number of tractors per farm is 0.38, while the same on the polled ones 3.25. Conditional energetic equipment of the family farms in the Vojvodina Province is 2.9 kW/ha and the same of the polled farms 2.20 kW/ha. Per tractor on the family farms in the Vojvodina Province there are 10.25 ha, while on the polled farms there are 28.38 ha. Average age of tractors was found to be 15 years and the real capacity 30%. Number of attachable units to tractor is 4.92 and that of the polled ones 4.46. The shortage of mechanized equipment, as kind of machine and capacity are concerned, was found by analysing the above mentioned data.
