Content of total and available forms of heavy metals in calcocambisols and chromic cambisols in the region of Skopje [The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia]

This study presents the results Of the investigation of contents of available anD total forms of heavy metals (Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, Co, and Pb) - microelements in the calcocambisols at Krasta locality and chromic cambisols at Morane locality in the region of Skopje. We have investigated the granulometric composition (texture), hygroscopic moisture, content of humus and carbonates, content of available nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, pH, as well as the adsorbed cations of this soils. The content of total and available forms of heavy metals in the investigated soils is in the frame of allowed concentration and do not show any signs of anthropogenic pollution, so they can be used for eco-food production.
