Quality of sunflower desiccation using self propelled sprayers

This paper reviews the quality of desiccation treatment for sunflower crops which was performed by self-propelled sprayers. The sprayers were equipped with standArd nozzles and injector nozzles of new generation (ID). The treatment was conducted on three locations with various sunflower hybrids, under various soils and weather conditions. Analyzed was the quality of treatment as the function of treatment norm for the same sunflower hybrids. The quality of treatment was determined using droplet volume mean diameter and the actual area coverage taken from the referential area of 1 square cm. The paper also presents grain losses in mechanized sunflower harvest which were measured on the control - untreated plot and the plots where the crops were subjected to desiccation.
