Quality change of edible refined sunflower oil during keeping, 2: Composition of fatty acids and nutritive value

The change of fatty acid composition and tocopherols content as well as composition of 13 samples of edible refined sunflower oil were followed. The analyses were performed in fresh samples as well as after 6 e.g. 12 months. No significant changes in fatty composition were found in the investigated period. Similarly, trans fatty acids were also not found in the samples. During the investigated period the total tocopherol loss was in the range 2.64-13.38%.
